Chat & Messaging

Shopify Inbox, answered with the order open.

Your Shopify chat sits on top of the one thing a support reply usually lacks: the customer's actual cart and order history. We work inside it, so answers come from the record rather than from a guess.

Included on every plan Order & cart context No new tooling

Most Shopify chats aren't sales questions. They're where is it, can I change it and can I send it back — and every one is already answered inside your admin.

What the inbox is really for
In the Shopify inbox

What lands in the queue.

Shopify Inbox skews post-purchase, because the people messaging you have usually already bought. All of it is inside the scope of your plan.

Where is my order

Answered from the fulfilment record — tracking link and a real ETA rather than a date range.

Changes to an order

Address corrections, added items, cancellations — handled where the order status still allows it.

Returns & exchanges

Eligibility checked against your policy and the return opened to the rules you set.

Discounts & gift cards

Codes that won't apply, balances, and which promotions can be combined — checked against the order total.

Pre-purchase questions

Sizing, materials and stock for the customers still browsing rather than chasing.

Anything we can't answer

Escalated to you by email or WhatsApp with the order reference and the full thread.

Not included

  • Phone support
  • Technical / IT support
  • Programming & development
  • Custom store development
A day on the desk

What Thursday looks like when someone's watching the queue.

A normal trading day in a Shopify inbox, handled inside your coverage window.

09:10

Overnight queue cleared

Everything that landed after hours is answered first, oldest to newest, before the day's traffic starts.

11:40

Pre-purchase questions

Sizing, stock and delivery estimates — answered from your product notes while the customer is still on the page.

14:05

A return gets started

Policy checked, eligibility confirmed, the return opened to your rules — no back-and-forth with you.

16:30

One thing escalated

A damaged-on-arrival claim needing your call goes to you by email or WhatsApp with the full thread attached.

Why this channel is different

The answer is already in the admin.

Shopify Inbox shows who's asking, what they've bought before and what's sitting in their cart right now. That turns most support replies from an interpretation into a lookup — exactly the kind of work that should never reach you.

  • No "let me check with the team." The record is open while the reply is being written.
  • Returns handled to your rules — thresholds and conditions you set, not judgement calls.
  • Access stays yours. Staff permissions scoped to what the work needs, revocable at any time.
Handing it over

Three steps, then it's off your plate.

Add us as staff

A scoped Shopify staff account with the permissions the work needs — orders, customers, returns. Not billing, not apps, not theme or code access.

Send the rules

FAQs, return policy, refund thresholds, shipping promises, tone of voice. This becomes the playbook every reply is written from.

We take the queue

The channel is covered through your window. You get the monthly report, and only the escalations that genuinely need you.

Coverage & response

Your window, your first-response target.

Shopify Inbox is covered through the same hours as every other channel, and draws from the same block of support hours.

  • Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 GST, or your own timezone if most of your customers sit in Europe or the US.
  • Weekends and public holidays on request — added as a surcharge on your plan rather than a separate contract.
  • Priority Support brings first response under 60 minutes across every channel, including this one.

Shopify Inbox questions

Good to know.

What access do you actually need?

A Shopify staff account scoped to what support needs — usually orders, customers, and returns. Not billing, not apps, not theme or code access. You create it, you see everything done under it, and you can revoke it in one click.

Can you issue refunds?

Returns and exchanges are inside the scope of every plan, and we work to whatever rules and limits you set in the playbook. Where you want a decision kept with you — high-value orders, goodwill gestures, anything unusual — that case is escalated instead.

We use Gorgias or Zendesk on top of Shopify. Still fine?

Yes. We work inside the tools you already run rather than moving you onto ours. If your Shopify conversations route through a helpdesk, we work there and use the Shopify admin alongside it for order context.

Is this billed separately from the other channels?

No. All fifteen services across all eight channels are included on every plan. You're buying a monthly block of support hours — 40, 80, 120 or 160 — and Shopify Inbox draws from that block like everything else.

Also covered

Seven more channels on the same plan.

Every plan covers all fifteen services across all eight channels — you're buying hours, not per-channel licences.

Hand over the Shopify queue.

Fifteen minutes on a call is enough to size the volume, agree the access, and pick the plan that fits.
